The two houses rose in rebellion against Tytos, Tywin's father, who was a weak leader. Young Tywin marched the Lannister army on the two houses and killed all of them, hanging their corpses on the walls of Casterly Rock to rot all summer in the view of everyone in the Westerlands. It was the beginning of the dominance by fear of House Lannister.
Lord Tywin rose as well. "A duty to House Lannister. You are the heir to Casterly Rock. That is where you should be. Tommen should accompany you, as your ward and squire. The Rock is where he'll learn to be a Lannister, and I want him away from his mother. I mean to find a new husband for Cersei.
Because of the carnage, reigning King Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) jumps out of a window. Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) has triumphed for the moment (though her actions have also resulted in the death of her last child), and she takes the Iron Throne for herself. Uncle Kevan (aka Fake Tywin) can't stop her โ€” once Tommen is gone, there's no
After Tommen, Margery, and Kevan Lannister died, does Cersei really have any right to the throne? It seems like she just effortlessly claimed it in the aftermath of the Sept destruction. While one of my favorite scenes ever, I wonder if the people of the court were questioning her as the true heir at that point.
Tommen will die attacked by his kittens, after they are poisoned with basilisks blood, by tyene sand, who will be one of cerseiยดs novice handmaidens (and therefore she will have access). Myrcella will commit suicide when the city is besieged by dany, to spare her people. 2. Much like Tommen Baratheon, Cersei Lannister's middle child, Myrcella, went largely overlooked until later seasons of Thrones, thanks to her overbearing older brother, Joffrey. Tywin was shrewd. He would have had the boy set right or put down. He likely would have had some ploy to make Joffrey better that would have involved the memory of Robert's prime. Joffrey wanted nothing more than Robert's approval, and to use that against Joffrey seems right up Tywin's alley. Queen Cersei Lannister dislikes her brother-in-law because of his mockery. Renly wears expensive attire, usually combining the Baratheon sigil with the colors of House Tyrell, such as a dark green velvet doublet embroidered with golden stags. He drapes a cloth-of-gold half cape over the doublet with an emerald brooch. When the Lannister King realized the battle was lost he retreated and knelt to Aegon. He could just as easily have been proud and arrogant and died in the battle; probably wiping out the Lannisters. So while it couldve gone better for the Lannisters throughout history, it could also have gone a lot worse. H8mqD.
