What did Aizen do to Hinamori? Aizen, who is invincible and has god-powers, decided that the best way to get around everybody attacking him was to make them unknowingly attack Hinamori instead. So that Hinamori was stabbed violently in the back by her childhood best friend.
Usually, after being stabbed once, people start to doubt in stabbing one, but she remained loyal to Lord Aizen. Loyal enough to fight for him with six captains, their vice-captains, and Visoreds. IMO, that's enough to assume she "joined Aizen's cause". That's why I consider Hinamori as the worst written character of all Bleach.
