It failed because the fans wanted modern warfare instead of space. dead on arrival, so they cut support after like 1 update. Exactly! Emulators are the place to go for a split screen game fan on PC. My dreams will come true when this game runs at 4K 60+ FPS 4 way split screen with 1080p resolution per player. Mad props to the devs for making great progress :)
There is no split screen and it is likely that no CoD will ever have split screen on the wii. This is due to RAM issues the wii has. It's RAM is used mostly on graphics and processing the environment, leaving there no room for split screen. If you would like a split screen FPS, I recommend Golden Eye.
